FRETZ, Howard - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Howard F. Fretz, 72, of 2 Orchard Lane, Danville, Ind., passed away at his residence on Mon, Feb 20, 1978 following a heart attack. He was born at Mellott, Ind., on September 21, 1905, the son of Henry and Lulu Fry Fretz. He was supervisor of linemen of Public Service of Indiana for 26 years, having worked in Lafayette, Mellott, Mulbery and Attica and had resided in Danville, Ind, since 1953, retiring in 1970. He was married June 21, 1930 in Mellott to Berniece Crow. He was a graduate of Mellott High School and was a member of Mellott Christian Church, the Moose Lodge 1821 of Danville and was a charter member of Rotary Club of Danville, Ind. Surviving besides the wife is one daughter, Mrs. Gale (LaDonna) Helms Rt 4, Veedersburg, two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Howard of Louisville, Ky. and Mrs. Alma Linville of Hillsboro; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Services Wednesday at the Maus Funeral Home with Rev. John Stump officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery southeast of Attica.
